As Katarina says, your choice in visting this guide pleases me for now. My name is Memira and I am going to guide you through on how to play Katarina properly and efficiently. I started playing Katarina since I bought her a year ago and my first impression of her was not a good one. Ofcourse I only bought her because I played against a Katarina and she was fed, since I like to kill enemies I was too tempted to buy her and so I did. Learning Katarina was not a good experience for me as I did not know some of the tips and trick that I know now, that I will be teaching you in this guide.

Be patient with katarina as she does require a bit of practice and patience. Soon you will find her definitely fun to play. So I now give you my Katarina 'Death Lotus' guide.

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration :
As Katarina, you are going to be the AP carry of your team. With 9 of these marks you will be able to pierce through early game armor making you quite a heavy hitter. With Sorcerers boots you will be able to deal amazing amounts of damage.

Greater Seal of Ability Power :
Potency seals give you +0.59 ability power each. I take 4 of these which gives me +2.36 Ability power. This will help you in the early games so you are able to hit hard.



Greater Seal of Scaling Ability Power : with +0.1 Ability power per level, these give you the most amount of AP in the long run, but will not give as much in early game.

Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power : More ability power! Don't freak out, most people would get armour or health runes, but Katarina is naturally really squishy so why would you even bother? Stacking AP will just give you a better advantage on harassing in early game

Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed : Finally! Something thats NOT AP! I would recommend getting swiftness because Katarina is an assassin and need to get into other lanes quickly, she also needs to keep up with fleeing enemies just until her abilities aren't on cooldown.

However, Greater Quintessence of Health also works great in laning phase for more sustainability and to staay in your lane longer
