Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This guide is for those trying out Akali for the first time, or for simple, new players who want to use her.
Playing Akali is hard in early game because she tends to get targeted because of her squishiness. Once you get to lvl 6, I personally think its good from there. She is a ninja, a unique character, who uses energy. Its different from mana. You only start out with 200 energy and you cant do anything with builds or ruins to modify it. The good thing is that it recharges really fast, allowing you to spam her abilities, which is really good for farming. For your summoner spells, go with exhaust and ghost.
After you gain an additional 20 ability power, Akali's hits deal 10% more magic damage, and every 5 ability power you gain after that, you gain 1% more magic damage.
After you gain an additional 10 attack damage, Akali gains 10% spell vamp and every 5 attack damage after that, you gain 1% more spell vamp. Now you might wonder what spell vamp is. Its kind of like life steal, but instead of absorbing hp from physical attacks, it absorbs hp from skills that do magic damage.
Q- Mark of the Assassin- You throw one of her kamas dealing damage and putting a Mark of the Assassin on the target. If you hit that target again, you deal extra damage and restore energy. In early game, use this move to harass your enemies.
W. Crescent Slash- You hit nearby targets all around you. This is probably the ability I use most often, because it is extremely good for farming.
E. Twilight Shroud-You throw down a cover of smoke that slows movement speed and makes you invisible. This ability is excellent for running away.
R. Shadow Dance- You jump forward on a target and do damage. This is a special ability because it doesn't require energy. It requires Essence of Shadows. You get 1 Essence of Shadow every 15-25 seconds and when you get a kill. You can have a total of up to 3 essence of shadows. This ability allows you to chase very well because of its long range.
Start out with ur long sword, and this will eventually build into ur phage. Then get your boots. Get the boots that best fit your situation and then get your madred's bloodrazors. Then get your frozen mallet, then get your infinity edge. IF the game still goes on, then get the trinity force and then your last whisper for the extra attack speed.
Akali is normally targeted early game, so you have to play cautiously. Use you Q move, Mark of the Assassin to kill those first few minions and lvl up, then unlock your W move, crescent slash to farm minions. After that, unlock twilight shroud.
You can use twilight shroud to run away, or just to slow your enemies and cause confusion.
When attacking a Champion, use the combo:
Mark of the Assassin, Shadow Dance, twilight shroud, and then crescent slash.
If they start running away, use shadow dance to catch up to them and repeat the combo.
I use mark of the assassin first because it puts a mark on them, allowing you to deal extra damage when you shadow dance them. The shadow dance should come upon them instantly, and they should have no time to react. When you throw down your twilight shroud instantly right after the shadow dance, they should be confused, allowing you to kill them.
Well thats all, so go out there and pwn butts with Akali!!!
