Just picked up Vi after falling in love with Shyvana and the Jungle role. Good and helpful guide.

I'm relatively new to jungler, I was curious as to if anyone knows any good warding spots to potentially see anyone invading mid game. Also should I be getting an oracle lens, or a yellow trinket?

You should start with a warding totem and, although you can keep it all game if you want, you can switch to an Oracle Lens around your second or third back if you feel your support is doing an adequate job of getting vision and you want to assist with clearing vision instead.

I watched a replay the author played today in a ranked match which he played as Vi in the Jungler role. His final items were: Boots of Swiftness, B.F. Sword, Sterak's Gage, Divine Sunder, and Ravenous Hydra. His final score in this match was 16 kills, 2 deaths, 6 assists.
If you're interested here's the path he took towards obtaining these items:

start: Refillable Potion, Emberknife
first back at 5 minutes: Phage, Sheen.
second back at 7 minutes: Boots, Kindlegem
third back at 9 minutes: Long Sword, Divine Sunder
fourth back at 12 minutes: Boots of Swiftness, Caulfield's Warhammer
fifth back at 16 minutes: Ravenous Hydra, Phage
sixth back at 18 minutes: Pickaxe
seventh back at 22 minutes: B.F. Sword, Sterak's Gage

It is interesting to note that Herald or Baron was never attempted, only the dragons. Perhaps to avoid ganks. Thanks for the guide by the way it helped me out, the only suggestion I have is to add a video as some people learn better by watching than by reading.

Used this guide for my only 2 games Vi. First game was a normal and i smashed which was expected since it was normal. But then the second game i ALSO smashed, 32/12/15 with 348 farm and 30k gold, and that was a ranked game! Absolutely amazing guide, thanks!
