Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
I felt compelled to write this guide due to the large quantity of low ELO, pub-stomp, DPS type builds on the various LoL sites, and the complete lack of a properly played, versatile, competitive-style Nasus guide. This guide is written for people seeking to use Nasus effectively in mid and high ELO, be it solo queue, a full or partial premade where some semblance of teamwork is expected, or a 5v5 premade lineup. I have written this under the preconception that readers are lvl 30 with a full page of tier 3 runes, however I do attempt to keep other players in mind and offer alternatives.
You've probably seen a few of those threads with champion tier listings. Hell, some of you are probably the noobs spamming for them in every nook and cranny (wtf is a cranny anyways?) known to man, including Paula Dean's southern style cooking messageboard. In almost all of these you'll likely find that Nasus is often listed as top or high tier. Maybe you've wondered why. I've seen loads of threads asking "what makes Nasus viable?" or "why is Nasus top tier?" or "how can I not suck balls with Nasus?". Sadly, you probably won't find an answer to those questions in any of the other guides found here on leaguecraft. He is obviously one sad, misunderstood pup, and I don't like that.
First off, Nasus is not high tier as a DPSer. There are way too many champions better suited for the DPS role for that to be the case. As long as you have champions like Jax and Nid, Nasus will never be a smart DPS choice. Maybe you can build your malady and infinity edge and wreck a game of lvl 20s. Good on you. Tell me all about it. Write the 14th bad guide on leaguecraft. You won't find that build here. If you are looking to stack deeeeeps and pwn noobs, Nasus isn't your best choice. Nasus is a team champion with a lot of utility and literally endless potential. This is a guide on how to turn Nasus into an invaluable contribution to your team. This is a guide detailing the play style used by top players. This is a guide on how to teamwreck.
Let's go ahead and get to know Nasus.
(This guide is being imported from leaguecraft and will be up in it's entirety shortly.)
