Thanks 87alphaone...I agree that SC without range indicators (cast on key press instead of release) is much faster. However, I would probably still suggest to beginners to use the range indicators until they are comfortable with smart cast and the spell range on their favorite champs, and then remove the range indicators for insta-casting. Thanks for commenting!

Normal casts < smart casts with range indicators < smart casts pro.

The point is pretty easy:
Normal cast: Q + mouse click = takes forever
Smart casts with indicators: aim with mouse, press Q and AFTER release it casts it = shorter but you still spend too much time just waiting
Smart casts pro: aim and shoot = instaspell

Try to play Ryze vs Ryze with normal casts and with smart casts pro. Smart casts win 24/7.

It get some time to get used for range of your spells, but if you keep practice, you just KNOW.
