For the AP Jax:

Hextech Gunblade > Hextech Gunblade > Rylai's Crystal Scepter > LichBane for more burst! Starks fervor isn't as good as Hecktech Gunblade, its better to slack them together. Plus, you are going AP with the AP build. As such, you do not benefit as much from Attack Speed. If you are going to slack AP, you must abuse Lichbane. Lichbane is the great on Jax when he gets enough AP to really make it shine.

Evasion Seals + Quits is the best on Jax. Get magic resistance per lvl Glyph to give him more survivability. Armor Pen Marks or Magic Pen depending on how AP/AD heavy you are.

AD Jax:

Hmm, he just shouldn't go straight AD in my opinion. He benefits too much from being a hybrid.

Tanky DPS Jax:

If you are going to go Tanky DPS, you might as well go hardcore Tanky DPS. As such, I think you should build him like Irelia.

Trinity Force > Ninja Tabi > Force of Nature > Randuin Omen > Ryalis Crystal Scepter > Atma's Impaler

I hope my suggestions help. The last build may seem kind of funny but try it out. You will be surprised. :)
