That is fair enough point! However, Ardent censor really only makes sense imo, if you are running a double AD comp. Added to that supporting as any champion doesn't mean that you have focus on your AD, you're meant to support the whole team, and if you have more ability focused champions then AA focused then you are not getting as much out of Ardent then if you were to go Mikaels. Sure Mercurials is a much more cost effective item now days but not every champion has access to such an item (zhonya's for AP, I know!)

Many jungles for instance wouldn't be picking up a quicksilver (or if they do it's fairly late in the game) so it allows for Karma to provide that for anyone in the team. Making it's gold effectiveness much better then that of Censor.

Don't get me wrong I see many karma 's build censor and it is a useful item. I just feel that mikaels is a lot more handy in most situations. Plus it gives Karma MR and the best mana regen in the game (ignoring grail).

Try swapping out Mikael's Crucible for Ardent Censer. Naturally Karma would need more AP for fatter shields. Also Mikael's has sorta gone out of style since Mercurial Scimitar is very gold efficient now. Paired with Zeke's Harbinger, Ardent Censer can help maximize your ADC's (and your team's) DPS.
