Great Build for Kassadin, my biggest suggestion (which I've just recently learned myself from browsing the forums) would be to drop Void Staff and build Abyssal Scepter. They have same amount of AP, Abyssal costs a little bit more however it also grants you Magic Resist. The biggest improvement in my opinion is the 20 Magic Resist deduction. The majority of the time (especially combined with sorc boots) the 40% is barely more effective than the -20MR. Then you consider that in team fights Kassadin will also be lowering enemy MR for everyone who's hitting them - a definite plus.
