Kennen: The Heart of the Tempest


So I have been playing League for about 4 months now, and I have tried a lot of the champions, and I seem to have fallen in Love with Kennen.
I read a lot of guides on here, and it seems like everyone says *BEST CHAMPION ON MOBA* well... I'm not going to tell you that, but I will tell you that Kennen is fun as hell to play, and once you learn him, he definitely can tear up some people.

Like every other champion, there are a few ways you can build them, I personally like building my Kennen as AP. There are a few things that I do that I believe set me apart from a few other Kennens, and I like to think it's what puts me ahead of the other players.

Build one is a standard AP Kennen I use, Build 2 is anti-tank(Magic Pen.)

Pros / Cons

PROS:
Very Good Harasser
Very good at in and out damage
Carry (even though Riot doesn't mention it)
Easy to learn combos

CONS:
Squishy and can be killed easily
Can be CC'd easily
They will start focusing you after they see the damage you do

Some people will Max out Thundering Shuriken first, Others will max out Electrical Surge first, so you ask, which is better? Well, in my eyes.. Neither! Yes, both of them are very good abilities and both have their very strong uses, But i believe its best to level both up at a pretty steady rate. Think of it this way, no one is perfect, no one will hit 100% of the time with Thundering Shuriken. I find by level 7, if you have level 3 TS, level 2 ES, Level 1 LS, and your ult, people WILL die, because you have a steady amount of damage from every ability rather than a 300 damage ability and 2 70 damage abilities. It sounds strange, and you won't see many Kennen's doing it, all I have to say is; TRY IT before you bash it.

BUILD 1: What can I say, it's a standard AP Kennen... except I put a Lich Bane in there because when at Level 18, Kennen is able to spam his abilities without using mana. (Your basic attack will hit for 522 after using an ability)
+350 Mana +80 Ability Power +30 Magic Resist +7% Movement Speed UNIQUE Passive: 100% chance when an ability is used that your next physical attack deals an additional 100% of your Ability Power in damage. This effect has a 2 second cooldown




BUILD 2: For build two it's pretty much a standard build except a Void Staff and a... what's that? A Deathfire Grasp?!
Yes although it gives "+10 Mana Regen per 5 Sec", its unique nuking ability is great against tanks with high health (ex. Mundo, Cho' Gath) For a tank like Rammus though, I would recommend an Abyssal Scepter just because he builds armor usually. Plus the 15% cooldown reduction isn't bad either. But hey- it's all based on situations.
