Kog'Maw BOT [12.21] In-Depth Guide

Hello im ARCTIC. I from Poland and playing league is my passion. I really enjoy the game. Im adc main mostly playing vayne,samira,kai'sa. Evan tho im not the best of best players beacuse im in kind of mid elo gold/plat. I found that i have good game knowleadge so i can create a usefull guide for my favourite champions. Kog is really good 1v9 carry. He is good in mid/late game. He spikes really early with just guinsoo and berks. He beacomes fun to play if you learn how to kite. You can carry teamfights with him.
For early laning you want to take your Bio-Arcane Barrage lvl 1 and punish enemy adc for overextending or going too far for caster minions your main goal should be farming until guinsoo. Try to get as many cs as possible while hurtin enemy adc.
You have really bad push in early game, you can force trades when you have berks to get some free poke or maybe evan a kill. You have good deamage early but you lack in attack speed. After guinsoo you will just shred enemy adc. If playing vs Draven or any hardmatchup you should only attack them as a form of punishing for taking casters you want to play behind and farm to slowlly beacome a monster killing enemy team. Some times you can overextend if losing to get shutdown with your passive, it does good amount of dmg by dying. Kog isn't losing alot when dying but you should avoid it so enemy adc won'y be fed at any point. You can try to aa enemy adc undertower using Bio-Arcane Barrage but dont get tower aggro on you or else you can die really quick.
You should focus on getting objectives and catching enemies that overextend. You should group with your team as much as possible. Kog is really good at pushing towers in late game beacuse of his fast wave clear on full build and good range you can get tower from a long range and use your Bio-Arcane Barrage as a tool to make you safe. Getting towers is a simple task if you have vision and doing it safe. You need to ward around lane you are going to push, if enemies come for you just run hide in some bush or recall and go for tower again, you will poke the towers until they are down. You can't walk straight for tower and destroy it in one try beacuse its just an easy death for you and kill for enemies. If enemy team is on other side of map you can consider taking whole tower at one push but enemy team if not dead will instantly recall to def an you won't gain anythin from it. In the conclusion of pushing the best thing you can do is use map often and place vision in places around lane so you will know when enemy team comes for you.
If you are losing lane what you should focus on is farming side lane and playing safe same goes if you play without support or support constantly feeding/dying. If you constantly farm side lanes you will see that even if enemy adc is feed you will not lose in gold or xp that hard, sometimes adcs go for teamfighting and roaming early on and thats where you will gaing biggest xp advantage sometimes the game will go that enemy adc is feed but lvl 11 when you are 0/2 and lvl 13 with 200cs in 20 minutes. If you can use disadvantage to gain advantage with kog it means you will most likely win your games.
The teamfights are key to succes. As and squishy adc you need to position in safety spots where you cant die. You shouldn't go for frontline standing behind is a how you will win most fights. Kog is really long range carry so you can get rid of their frontlane from good distance. If you see enemy assasin ex. Zed or Leblanc try to get away beacuse they will try to kill you most importantly. If you get marked by zed R Death Mark the only way to survive is flash away or Barrier dodging his combo. For Leblanc she cna cut disctances with W and than R she will instantly be on you so what you can try to do is flash from her W and you should be fine for te most part.
Conclusion is if you see any assasin trying run to you just turn and run. For kog assasins in late game are not that scary beacuse he beacomes kind tanky but you should be aware. Try to get your team to play around you in teamfights and they will be won. Best ex. is lulu ult on you with lulu ult you beacome tanky and no one will one shot you.
If you want to master the Kog'Maw, you need to know how to kite. This goes for every single ADC. Always use one auto then move backwards one step then back to auto. I recommand using "A" (Attack move) and then move backwards. I reccomend trying to kite on practice tool on target dummy if you are new to this mechanic just try to kite around the target dummy and you will progress fast.
When the prophet Malzahar was reborn in Icathia, he was led there by an ominous voice which thereafter anchored itself to his psyche. From within, this voice bestowed upon him terrible purpose, and though Malzahar was no longer tormented by its call, the voice did not cease its unrelenting summons. This baleful beacon's gentle flicker - now fastened to Runeterra - drew forth a putrid beast that ambled across a threshold it did not understand, widening a fissure between the spaces which were never meant to meet. There amongst the haunting ruins of Icathia, Kog'Maw manifested in Valoran with unsettling curiosity. The spark which led him to Runeterra teased him still, urging him gently towards Malzahar. It also encouraged him to familiarize himself with his new environment, to the stark horror of everything he encountered on his journey.

The enchanting colors and aromas of Runeterra intoxicated Kog'Maw, and he explored the fruits of the strange world the only way he knew how: by devouring them. At first he sampled only the wild flora and fauna he happened across. As he traversed the parched Tempest Flats, however, he came upon a tribe of nomads. Seemingly unhampered by conventional rules of physics, Kog'Maw consumed every nomad and any obstacles they put in his way, amounting to many times his own mass and volume. The most composed of his victims may have had time to wonder if this was due to the caustic enzymes which stung the ground as they dripped from his gaping mouth, although such musings were abruptly concluded. Even this feeding frenzy did nothing to satiate Kog'Maw's appetite. His swathe of destruction continues still as he is inexorably drawn towards Malzahar. What happens when he finds him is anyone's guess.
Lethal Tempo fits kog perfectly beacuse he benefits much from additional range and attack speed it allows you to space from enemies in teamfights and be stronger in early game.

Triumph is the best rune for most ADCs 6% heal saves your life alot of times and additional gold is never a problem.

Legend: Alacrity you can think that its perfect for kog additional attack speed for free but its no the best looking at bloodline that you can benefit from more since you don't need more attack speed beacuse with full build and runes you will be always at 2.50 attack speed.

Legend: Bloodline is really good for Kog it fits him perfectly you get additional sustain and sometimes lifesteal will save you, if you are good at positioning you will never need tenacity.

Last Stand is just my personal choice i feel like i have situations when im low and i do some insane play rather than around full hp thats just a personal pick you can swap it for Coup De Grace
