I'll start this off by busting the myth of how Kog'Maw is a lategame beast, he's not. You are strongest between 1 and 3 items, during that window, theres not a single adc in the game that can kill you unless you play the fight horribly, you can quite literally stand still and statcheck most top laners so make sure you utilize that fact to its highest potential, especially in 2026 when you pretty much get outscaled by any crit adc in the game, your gameplan every single game is to stomp your lane to the point where their adc just gives up and snowball off of that lead.
Do not forget about your passive, it's an extremely OP tool that can keep you in the game even if you are losing, ALSO THERE IS A BUG WHERE YOU CAN AUTO ATTACK ONCE AFTER YOU DIE WHILE IN YOUR PASSIVE, MAKE SURE YOU RIGHTCLICK ON THE ENEMY TO UTILIZE THAT AND MAXIMISE YOUR DAMAGE OUTPUT

In teamfights your job is to stay alive as long as possible, be sure to watch out for enemy cooldowns and try to make mental note of what is the biggest threat on their team, if you get caught you will die most of the time, you're an immobile adc who's whole kit is pure damage only go in once it is safe to do so.

Kog's biggest weakness is your support, that is something you can't control but be ready to play with people that do not understand the first thing I said in this guide, if your support doesnt know what he's doing or what your champion does you will not have a great time, espeically on lane, make sure you know how to identify good vs bad supports and play accordingly.
