Introduction

As a Support Tank you may be wondering, why dip into the offense and not into the Utility, so im here to tell you.

Playing as a Support Tank Leona you'll come to find that you are constantly literally pulling yourself to your enemies trying to pull off stuns for your team but also some damage. Initiation is key to this build, once you land that stun on those hard hitters your team can come in for easy cleanup without taking a lot of damage.

So here i am , going to help you players , on the best Support Tank Leona you've ever played

Behind the Runes

Playing as a Support Tank Leona you will want to take most of your teams damage and therefore want to be able to initiate + take lots of hits. To do so you'll need some intense rune paging

Marks: Greater Marks of Resilience

Seals: Greater Seals of Resilience

Glyphs: Greater Glyphs of Warding

Quintessences: Greater Quint of Swiftness

The Reason behind these runes are simple. You want the most amount of armor and magic resistance as possible + The speed to initiate any fight that runs from you in fear.

You might ask, why not get Runes that give higher stats at later levels. such as the Glyph of Shielding, which gives off much more Magic Resistance late game. The reason is you want the most starting level 1 armor and magic resistance. You want to initiate your lane at a low level and shut down the enemy Carry right away.

Pros:

- Great Initiation
Being able to pull into fights and stunning Carries allowing your team safe entry to the fight

- Great Sustain
Popping Leonas Shield gives her insane amounts of Armor allowing her to stay in the battle longer


Cons:

- Hard to learn
Some players may find it hard to play Leona, as a Tank Support with lots of CC you will want to solo out all hard hitters

- Bad Team Work
If you decided to initiate make sure your team is behind you 100% , throwing yourself in a fight while your team runs will often just end your life and your team with no kills

For my Masteries I choose to build:

9-21-0

Why?

Offense:
I place 9 points into Offence for the Cool-Down Reduction as well as the Magic Penetration.

Leona is great for her stun as well as her shields Magic Burst Aoe. By playing 9 points into Offense you are allowing her stuns to be used more often, as well as turn her Shields damage into a slightly deadlier force as it is an AP ability

Defense:
I place 21 points into Defense because well, were playing a Tank Support. You will be initiating all Team Fights and will want as much armor and health as possible
