Introduction

This is my guide on nasus. Just to give you new players a hint on how to play him. If you're gonna go top in low level you usually end up 1v2. That's very hard to pull of if you don't have the runes to do it.

I am currently at 1522 elo and nasus is one of my mains in solo top (I don't get to play him alot in ranked games because you usually end up with support if you want to win and get a serius team setup)

A very important aspect of nasus is his Q ability. That's what he's based around. If you don't farm Q well enough you wont be able to do alot endgame and it doesn't pay off going solo top if you can't farm well enough

Items

Mercurys threads is almost a must on any bruiser these days. Trinity force is a must on nasus. Then I usually go very very tanky because that's how I play bruisers. You're not supposed to be a glass-canon that deals ****loads of dmg but can't survive for more than 3 seconds.

Farming

Since farming is the most important thing about nasus I'll create an entire chapter about farming. When you're playing nasus you always have to try to lasthit with your Q. That's the reason I go very tanky with the runes and my dorans shield. This allows me to take a couple of hits just to go get that minion in the far back. With this build you'll have enough HP regen to take alot of punishment in the lane and almost none will be able to out lane you if you play properly. It's important to not waste your siphoning strike on the enemy champions if you're not ganking / somehow getting a kill in the lane.

There are some counters to nasus which you really really don't want to be up agianst.

Udyr is nasus #1 enemy imo. Whenever you try to go and get a minion kill he'll just hit you once with his Tiger Stance and out harras you eventually.

Irelia can also be a ***** in the lanes sometimes (depends on if she's good or not) If she is running armor runes and cloth armor you'll just have to play very passive and let her push.

Akali is also a counter to nasus because whenever you go to lasthit something she'll just Q you and hit you once or twice.

Brand (very very unusal to get a lane versus brand but it has happend to me) A good brand will be able to keep you at bay with his harras too. You'll never catch him because he'll just stun you whenever you go close to him.

Rumble Very very hard to lane agianst rumble. You'll need alot of ganks in order to pull this lane off. Because he just uses his flamespitter on you whenever you get close enough.

Jax to some degree. Very hard to lane agianst a good jax but most usually you'll do fine agianst the decent ones
