This doesn't seem like it would work so well, the only reason I mention this is because all of Leona's abilities are AP based. If you are going tank, you would have to go AP tank in order to beef up her abilities, so you can at least somewhat contribute in a fight. If you are going to do anything AD on Leona, you should commit entirely to AD in order to compensate for the damage lost on her abilities.
