Yeah, the range isn't that good in the mid lane. This is why I would suggest to never first pick kennen mid. You only pick him to counter most of mid assassins. For example, Yasuo, Akali, Katarina, Diana, Fizz, Zed... His stun is very deterrent against assassins that need to kill fast. Of course, being able to dodge their skillshots will make the difference between a winning lane and a losing lane.

The range isn't very bad in the toplane, it's actually really good in that lane. But I guess that the range isn't very nice in the midlane.

Actually I called this guide Mid Lane, because I only play kennen mid, so I can give tips against Mid champions. Doran's Blade and Doran's shield would be better for top, because boots are useful to dodge mid laners skillshots. This build is not especially for mid, it's good for teamfights, so it's good for top too. I played top few times, but it's harder to get kills, because top are usually tankier. And I like being mid, because I can roam more easily, ganking bot is awesome with Kennen, because his ult is a big advantage. However, Kennen is good top too, because your opponent can't get close to you with all your CC. Finally, I would suggest Doran's shield (but if you really like Doran's blade, it works too and it's not bad), because health regen will be more useful than AD mid game. AD is great to farm early, but I think you can do good without it.

Hi Didie9, I noticed that your start is boots and health pots, but when I read the other guides, I felt like maybe it would be more helpful if you put another option of Dorans Blade and health pots. Also, would it be a better choice to start Doran's Shield top or Doran's Blade? Because I want to play Kennen top, and I love this build, so would this build only work for mid, or does it work top too? Because if it was meant for both, it would probably helpful if you put top and mid on the title too. Great guide!
