The reason why I don't take early Morello's in especially the balanced build is because I always leave room for taking Frozen Heart which gives 20% CDR. Personally I think it's the best item that protects you from physical attacks because some good Tryndamere players can be troublesome.
In my opinion Tear of the Goddess isn't an overkill, because it's all about stacking mana. If you take 40% CDR, then you must have an insanely good mana pool to spam non stop skills. Also Clarity is just a choice from many other spells, you can take some other spell therefore the Tear is always useful.

BTW, I'm not a man, I'm a girl ;P

Hey, man looked at your guide after you commented on mine.

We have a pretty similar set up.
Here are the places were we differ
You may have the AP ratio on Q wrong, everywhere I look its .7 not .8
CDR
I weigh CDR as MUCH more important. and try to get it as high as possible as fast as I can. If there was just 1 thing I'd change about your guide it would be CDR.
-Weak AP ratio on W makes CDR a much better way to increase your healing than AP.
-No AP bonus to E
-Allows you to have your Ult up more often, as you know weather on not this is up often decides if your team lives or dies and can end up deciding a game.
-Allows faster stack of passive
-More likely to be able to choose the right spell to power chord with
-Reduces the CD and global CD.

If you feel like switching it up a little try going for an early morellos. With your runes and clarity the tear is overkill imo.

You wrote a nice guide that outlines various AP Sona builds. This is great for people who are learning Sona as it shows several playstyles and can teach them how to quickly adapt. Keep it up and I didnt see anything that looked out of place other than maybe add in a build where you are getting stomped by a balanced team rather than just the MR and Armor builds.

Thank you for commenting. First build listed that concentrates on the synergy between Frozen Heart& Banshee's Veil in combination with Archangel is meant to be the balanced build, but as I mention in my build it can be edited by getting more HP from Rylais for example or taking Guardian Angel etc...

I've been considering of adding aura-support Sona build, but I don't play it myself so I don't see the reason why I should tell people to play something I don't play myself. I'll be adding more pictures into the build, when I get to play more.

Updated Item Choices section, included a section about why I choose to pick Mejai's Soulstealer.

Also explained Mejai's + negative score situations with a picture of my Sona games.

Hi Halipupu,

I decided to come on over and check out your guide, but I can't vote you up.

Three of your four builds have the Mejai's Soulstealer. This is a noob trap item. Sure it has great potential, but it loses so much potency even after only a single death, and that's when the whole build falls apart.

Even in the screenshot you show of your match record, you died 8 times. Almost completely negating any stacks you were able to maintain on your Mejai's. There are so many items that provide much more benefit to Sona, none of which have the same flaws.

Remove the Mejai's from all the builds, and you've got a +1 from me.

In that case of 8 deaths it's because of my team early game dying. As you see the amount of my assists in that case, I had about 14 stacks in my Mejai. Uusually if I have a high death rate as in that case, it means I had 0-2 or 0-3 score in the beginning.
There have been many times my team hasn't been doing good early game, and the score has been like 4-15 to to the opposite team, but then later on we've started owning therefore gaining me 7-15 stacks late game.
Considering that Mejai's costs only 1235 coins and has the potentional of giving 150 AP, it's pretty cheap even if you get only 5-10 stacks.
I include Mejai's in my builds, but I did mention that if you get terribly focused then do not buy it. Late game even if you have negative score you should still have 8+ stacks which gives 84+ AP at the price of 1235 coins.

Alltogether even if you die with Mejai, you will get your stacks back easily with assists so it doesn't have much difference. Especially after getting Archangel (or Rabadon is going full AP) it's only a plus if it does stack. It's preferential to get Mejai's Soulstealer, if you're seriously losing then skip and get survival items, but then you'll lack AP if the game turns.

Thank you for your opinion, but as I mention in the beginning of the guide, it's all about building situationally, therefore you don't have to get Mejai but for the affordable price it's pretty good if the game turns at least one time. :)

Best sona guide out there imo. Everything is very well explayned and easy to read. Making 4 build is allways beter than 1. They work very well. I play with Halipupu everyday ^^ And there is a reason...<3

Ty for voting. I've seen many Sona players that start out the same way, but their mid game items pretty much make the difference as well as runes. :)

I'm gonna add more pictures of my games later, when I get to play more as Sona. Now I've played her so much I need to play some other characters too, so it might take some time. I've condisered of adding in-game pictures in the build, but let's see. anyway I'll be updating the guide every now and then to keep it fresh.
