I like this guide, except for the masteries. Don't invest into honor guard, because the math is simple. If you take 1000 damage, you only mitigate 15 with 3 points in it. Put the points into Tough Skin, and take 2 less minion damage to trade early on. Also, pick up buff duration instead of scout. It's just overall better. Otherwise great guide!

good guide but there are several items which are perfect for the role malphite needs to fill within your team's composition. For example: once u get glacial shroud, grab sunfire cape (hp as initiating tank, and that passive can't be ignored on a mobile champion such as malphite), then finish frozen heart. turn phil stone into shurelya's (you don't really need GA on malph, he can take care of himself and if your dying a lot then there's a problem...), then heart of gold into randuin's. Finish with force of nature and no enemy carries will be able to trade with you or escape your sneak ult
