Introduction

Hello, my name is donders, just your average solo queue player. Bear in mind that this build is purely situational, so it may not fit with everyone's playstyle or team composition. I do not recommend this build to players new to the game. However, you are welcome to try if you wish.

Welcome to the "Support-o-wick" guide! Before we begin, let us look at the pros of warwick as a support:

1. his Q scales off the percentage (16% at level 5) of max health, which means it does not need ap or ad for it to get stronger.

2. His ult just absolutely wrecks people in mid-game. It is long range and does quite a lot of damage.

3. He has AS boost for the adc. What more can i say.

Cons:

1. WW can't peel without items, unless he uses his ult. The only stage where he can start peeling with his ult is during late game, because the CDR has been reduced. However, the damage from his ult just gets weaker and weaker as the game progresses.

2. Very, very weak early game. Q range is rather short, so can't use it for poke. WW is not exactly tanky, so if they get blitz, ali, or leona, you are pretty much dead (or your carry, or both).

3. Is a scary wolf.

Ok, now that we have covered that, let us move on!

Runes

I get magic pen marks to make my Q deal more damage mid-game. I get armor and magic resist so i can take a couple of more hits during team fights. I take gold quints because i am not going to be able to CS, so I get the gold from quints.

Items

Standard support items, no need to deviate. You get philos if you are winning, since it gives you mana for your spammy Q. Get HoG (or some other item after they delete HoG) if you are losing for some tankiness. Get shurelias when the team starts to group up, otherwise, keep getting wards. Get wards.

Skills

I level Q first because of the damage. lvl1 W doesn't really do much for the team as a whole, since it gives really little AS. I usually max Q because it is a more reliable source of damage. W is nice and helps out the team, but your adc might be too far away sometimes for it to actually help. Don't max e first, it does not support your adc at all. Level ult immediately at 6 to start killing.

Masteries

This is what I usually run. You can change it if you want. I like the tankiness and the mana.

summoner spell

exhuast and flash are my favy, because they are more clutch.
Other choices like ignite, heal, clairvoyance are also viable choices in my opinion.

Who is good with support-o-wick?

The most optimal adc with support WW are usually bursty adc. For example, graves is excellent with WW. He has lots of burst and can follow up with a quick kill after WW uses ult.
Other good adc with WW:
Ezreal
Corki
draven (maybe, not sure)
urgot

Not so good with WW:
ashe
vayne
trist

Game phase

Early game is where you suck. you really can't do anything, unless your opponents suck and let you Q them. Otherwise, just try to stay alive until lvl6. Tell your adc not to be too aggressive.

Mid game: get the kills with your ult! Also, you can roam to midlane as well to help out your friends. His ult is very clutch and make sure you can pick out the most important targets.

End game: Try to deal as much damage as possible while protecting your adc. Remember, it is more important to keep your adc alive than trying to be the hero yourself. Get a randuins if you have the money and slow your enemies. GG no re. win the game.

Conclusion

Support warwick is very situational and is not for everybody. I suggest just trying ww with a more popular build at first, just to get a feel more WW's moves. When you feel ready, get a friend and start dominating solo queue. Ok, best of lucks! I hope not too many people rage at you for trying out new things!
