Hi I´m Akanius and I´m playing at the EU-West Server. My last 2 Taric ranked games were both wins. I hope you enjoy reading this guide!
I personally think that Taric is one of the best Supporters in LoL, cause of the following facts:

- Heal(q)
- Resistance(w)
- Crowd Control --> Stun(e)
- Damage(r)

All these Abilities are helpful for your team!!

That is why I would recommend to play him!

Cause you will often try to tank a fight (especially when there is a carry jungler), i would recommend to take the runes on top of this guid.

Another option for runes would be to take
0,91 Armor marks
1,08 health @18 /mana regen 0,4/5 sec seals
0,15 magic resistance@18 /1,34 magic resistance glyphs
1gold/10sec quintessences.

Mastery 1
Mastery 2

I prefer to play Mastery 1 to Mastery 2, cause you have the role of a tank in game and you need to have more movement then other.

Items


Start: Faerie Charm + 4 sight wards + 1 mana potion --> Mastery 1
Faerie Charm + 2 sight wards + 1 vision ward + 1 mana potion --> Mastery 2

Early Game: Philosopherstone + Hearth of Gold + Boots

Mid Game: Mercury Boots/Boots of Mobility + Aegis of the Legion

Late Game: On Top of this Guide

!!!Please remember to always buy Wards and oracles Elixir !!!

First of all I´d recommend to skill Tarics E, a good timed early stun can save your ADs life (while gank or Bot-enemie Attack) or is a huge help to get an early kill.

Afterwards i go for the W or Q, depending on how well the Situation in Lane is.

For Example: The enemies are to strong and deal to much dmg to you and the AD you both need the heal.
I would recommend to primary skill W, then finish Q and last max E.

If you ask yourself why i maximeize the W-Skill and not the Q-Skill first, here is my explenation:

The W makes you and your AD-Carry much more resitent, what can help him against enemies!
Furthermore it is a passive skill, so it is helpful all the time and the Q has a huge amount of CoolDown!

Tipps:

E: Ping first the enemy you are going to Stun and watch out if your Team is in range to kill him.

Use your W only if your team is attaking, not when your team gets attaked.

Use your R early in fight, so that your teammates deal the highest amount of damage possible.

If you are new to LoL or dont often play Draft or ranked Games, here are typical Bans:

Malphite, Morgana, Shen, Blitzcrank, Amumu, Kassadin, Ezreal Darius and Allistar

Last but not least the most important topic for every Supporter.

Whenever you go back you have the chance to buy items, never buy an item without having min 2 wards in your pocket.
Further i´d recommend, after you have both items that give you Gold/10 sec and Aegis of the Legion, to buy so many sight wards that you always have a stack of 5 of them.
