WARNING

For a fair warning to all, this build is not meant for kills. This build is for tanking and tanking only. It may give you a kill or two, but don't expect to get 10+ kills. This is not what this build is meant for. You have been warned.

Introduction

This is a revision of a previous Taric build I had. The last one I had was ok but I realized it could be better. Plus realized I was using recommended items without noticing. Yeah I'm a bit of a noob.....ANYWAY, this is the Taric build I use now and it works out pretty well. I don't know if it is ranked material but who knows it might be, so try it at your own risk. Now this build, as seen in the warning, is not for kills. this build for tanking. Tanking with Taric has seemed to be the way for me and so I hope that you may see it the way I do and hopefully you come up with the same results.

Masteries

The Mastery build I go for is a 0/24/6 build. Based on the Masteries I chose I think are pretty self explanatory. Pick up ALL damage reduction and durability Masteries in defense and I do the regen and time dead Masteries in utility. You may put the last 6 point wherever you want, but I figured those were the most logical choices.

Runes

The Runes I have set up are all Magic Resist. Why all Magic Resist? Because Taric passively has good Armor and is pretty much set in that area. Magic Resist per level Marks and Seals, and flat Magic Resist Glyphs and Quints.

Summoner Spells

The Summoner Spells I use are Fortify and Clarity. Fortify, because it is fairly useful for whenever the team is taking I beating and is about to lose a tower, Fortify can hold off the attack and buy time for your team to intercept them or even scare them off. Hey it works sometimes. I use Clarity, because if you've ever played Taric, you know he has mana issues early game. And if you've played Taric before, take Clarity, because you will have mana issues early game. You have been warned. Can't be an efficient healer and pusher if you have know mana. So this spell is really important.

Items

I believe the items are pretty straight forward, but there is a reason for everything right? Follow the recommended items up until Aegis of the Legion. Start Meki Pendant and try to stay in lane long enough to pick up Merc Treads and Chalice in a one-shot deal. That is your starting Magic Resist. Then you want to build Aegis of the Legion. It's just all around good. Then the last 3 you want to build is Randuin's Omen, Spirit Visage, and Force of Nature. Now Omen provides good armor to boost the armor Taric already has. It also Health Regen to help your survivability. Then go for Visage, because Magic Resist and its awesome passive where it increases the healing and regen you gain. That is awesome. Especially in combination with Force of Nature, then you're a ***** to take down. Also Force of Nature is more Magic Resist so its pretty useful.

Skill Sequence

I highly recommend getting Dazzle first. Its a stun. A very useful stun. Great for picking up early kills or setting up ganks. And, if you're lucky, it may even grant you a kill. So get Dazzle first then Imbue next. You need your heal. That's your laning longevity right there. After that, get Shatter and get that leveled first. This spell give you your awesome passive armor. Just remember when you activate it, you lose the armor bonus for a few seconds. So use wisely. After you level up Shatter then get Imbue up then Dazzle. Of course get Radiance whenever you can. Remember that your Ultimate is essential to your role as a tank. This turns you into an AoE healer, pusher, and a tougher target. Keep in mind, Radiance will eat away your mana if you don't manage it correctly. Otherwise, you'll be left on the battlefield with no mana and vulnerable to a gank. Of course it'll take 1-3 people to drop you fast enough but it is something to watch out for.

Summary

Now with all the information I gave you, even though it isn't a lot, I hope that your tanking will be successful with Taric. Based on past experience and the build I present to you, I hope that you find Taric to be a very effective, and may even see him as the ULTIMATE TANK!

P.S. MOBAFire is lying to you about the end game Armor stats. It doesn't take into account the bonus from Shatter so the number it shows is inaccurate.
