after careful consideration, i have selected this for my akali, in my opinion the most versitile hybrid champion.
The longsword gives akali exactly 10 damage, activating her passive for 15% lifesteal.
Do to this, along with your ap from runes and masteries, you can even get all the small neutrals if the laning is too hard.
Option two is to suck it up and use your abilities to last shot and farm. if you haven't died by level 6 go back and get boots and finish your occult.
Then comeback to your lane hopefully for a double kill with your ally. if not head to another lane for some quick ganks.

The rylais is your 1st item since it gives ap, the ability to slow and survivability.
Then grab your 1st hextech, an extra 40ap and 10% spellvamp is amazing for 1200 gold, also the sheen for even more burst damage. so far you have spent, 1400+1100+3200+1200= 6900 and have 500 bonus life, 120ap, 20+ damage, ms and 20 magic pen.

The next part is your choice, i like the thought of 2400 getting me 80ap and 20% spellvamp, till i can afford to finish some hextechs. but i can see some people going 1 hextech finishing it, getting a rageblade or zhonyas, subbing more spellvamp and lifesteal for overall damage, and that is viable.

Cleanse and exhaust are key, cleanse to finish kills and exhaust for protection while you annihalate.
