Yes and no.

If the game is a close game. and teams are well ballanced buy a spirit visage. HP+Mr + the addition to the spell vamp etc. works wonders in tight games. Getting this fast then the giants belt will make you tanky enough to last that mid game section.

Spirit visage is there because most ranked games i have to buy it for the reason above.

However!!

If you are doing really well and you and your team are ahead then skip spirit visage. In this situation you will be so overpowered that spirit visage becomes negible.

Face roll games: No spirit visage

Have you ever tried going 9 marks of strength, 1 in brute force and dipping down into the utility tree farther, grabing improved flash, movement speed, and buff duration?

This ends with 14/0/16, getting CDR, Mpen, Ignite, and 1 brute force in offense and all non-mana utility perks: Good hands, 2 in perseverance (for pre-reqs), Greed, buff-duration, speed, and flash.

It's just something I've come to like more and something you could try if you haven't already.

great build, even though its not the highest rated build for akali it still works wonders. on 3v3 one of our teammates rage quitted and i carried my team to victory with one man down. i was legendary :)
