Thank you so much for your guide — I learned a lot from you!
I'm currently Silver and trying to climb. I'm still using the old build you recommended because I don't really like the current meta build.

I'm not building Nashor's Tooth — instead, I go for Lich Bane, Shadowflame, and Rabadon. Is that bad? Should I be building Nashor’s Tooth as a second item instead?

I watch Xiao Lao Ban’s videos a lot, and I’ve noticed he never uses Shadowflame, which made me doubt my build.

Also, I have another question: I really struggle against Yasuo. Good Yasuos are really tricky with their Wind Wall. I often end up farming under my tower. Is there a way to bait out his W early? Or do they have some kind of technique I should know about?

Thanks again!
My in-game name is Bravenh#Loki if you want to check my stats.
And my Discord if you want to chat more easily: bravenh_
(I know I struggle with CSing, but I’m trying to improve!)

Yo Bravenh,
Glad to read you like the guide. Well the meta build will be gona tomorow since they gonna nerf symbiotic. So i changed the build i go. I didn't like the symbiotic boots so I wasn't really building it myself. Not saying it wasn't good tho.

I feel like in lower elos the nashor and stormsurge build are more viable since people dont really focus that well and you dont need the extra hp and outplay and can get away with doing more damage.

But if i had to choose one build i always go (which im doing atm) i'd go the rocketbelt build. Why? You have more hp which means you can fight more and longer, when you get cc'd which will happend you have a bigger chance of surviving, the dash gives you extra outplay ( gapclose, redirect Q, get into your portal etc...), its easier to survive overall and keep your mejais stacked and lastly the buildpath is kinda nice compairing to the rest. Some negatives are that you will deal less dmg but i think if you play well and get mejais stacked it deals equal dmg or not less to the point where i'd feel like its minor to the other builds.

I have no clue if the build is good with shadowflame, on some websites it has good stats. What i can tell you is that i tried it and didn't really like it. You don't get ability haste or anything and i didnot feel like i dealt that much more dmg. On the other hand if you stat check it on coachless it's one of the worst statistically items Ekko has so idk. But i mean if it works for you, you can keep building it but maybe try to play every build 15-20 games and write down what you did and didn't like. I had a excel sheet where i kept my stats with nashor and rocketbelt build to compare which i performed best on, came out i 40% wr with the nashor build and 60+ % with the rocket build. (ALl high diamond master games) so i guess my playstyle works best with rocket. I can't really tell yo uwhat to take, cause Ekko has like a bread and butter but ofcourse everyone has some other approaches that certain items/ builds will like better perform with.

Yeah Yasuo is one of the hardest champs to play against. Always take electrocute imo try to get his passive off, let him e into you or minions close to you and try to AA him twice and when you have two stacks E on him and you should win the trade if you can run away after. Use q as last after he windwalls. Like if you just do E Q he will always windwall your Q but if you don't panic you can safe your Q and he will try to predict yours and a lot of times use his Windwall for no reason after you strike hard. (Don't do this under yas turret tho he will run you down, can do this when he shoves or when wave is in the middle). Also try to roam and keep even in farm in lane you normally lose but in teamfight when he doesn't have to much setup with team you can def kill him with team. Experience is a big thing. So dont panic when he goes on you without his empowered q and save abilities and work with AA.

I added you on league when im online i can def answer
Thanks for reading the guide and gl with playing EKKO :D

Honestly, I don't think that Cassio is even matchup. She has just stronger kit. Basically, if she lands her Ult on you you are dead 'cause of Ult + W. Don't agree with you here.

If you time Cass R you can dodge it, not watching in to it. So try to stand with your back to her, when she uses R. Early you can abuse her, if she misses q's you go all in and win trade. As you say R is a skilled matchup so it's indeed true that if she hits R and W you might die. But it's not impossible to dodge it either, so if you play well you should win if she plays well she wins. That's what i mean with even matchup. Better player should always win not better champ.

Agreed. Still she is at least hard but maybe not impossible as a good Akali player. Guide is good bro). Thank you for inspiring me to play Ekko.

W guide. What are ur thoughts on dark harvest? Ik it's not as strong as elec. or hob early but i've seen others use it for some extra mid to late-game oomph (assuming it's well-stacked)

Hey, I personally have never used dark harvest mid. I know it's a common rune to use in the jungle tho. I think HOB and ELEC outperform in the midlane cause you need some tools to play the lane. While jungling can be more afk farming and indeed scaling the stacks as you suggest. So to conclude I like your thought proces, but I think you miss out on damage and utility in lane, and or even in skirmishes when helping teammates, early and mid game. I feel like the game has become very fast pase so winning early and mid game will result in winning more games. Scaling is nice, but I think it will take to long for the Dark Harvest to outperform the other options. Like for an example I started playing for jungler as much as possible sacking waves for it, but I feel like being an assasin isnot about scaling and carrying anymore, cause other roles scale better, you need to make impact early and mid game to be able to "hard carry" games. Hope this is a good answer on your question. Thanks for the comment and positivity :D <3

Ohh okay that makes sense, especially with Ekko since he really shines in the mid-game. And ig with so many squishy mages mid, it'd be harder to stack Dark Harvest due to constant poke, with ELEC and HOB being good ways to stronger trades/all-ins to get ahead. Thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to try it the next chance I get!
