Personally I think your build should look something like this

Warmogs - SFC - FoN - Atma's - Guardian Angel

Honestly Thornmail is only useful when they are trying to attack you, which is kinda dumb against a shen with like 5k health.

it definitely will make me think differently playing as tanks. I noticed how I can stack mitigation and still die easily if focus fired. I thought it was probably my ****py skills but I sometimes remember that there are diminishing returns when you focus on something too much. If you add another variable such as life, it has greater bonuses the first time you give it (aka a warmongs or w/e) basic economics..... Ty for the reminder lol

Really nice tank build(altho i play him Semi tanky dps most of the time)XD. the enemy team tried to gank me 12 times and failed... i even got a kill at 3 of the ganks o.O escaping 5 man ganks were never so easy XD 1+

Outstanding build. This is my basic build every time I play Shen. The early Warmogs and heath regen is incredibly good.

By the time you finish Warmogs and boots, you'll already be well into the game and might already be team fighting. Without building any resistances, your health will just melt under enemy damage, and you'll only be slightly better off then a rushed Warmogs on Ashe. While i find your build generally balanced late game with health and resistances, I find your build weak early game. Although your guide is reasonably well put, you depend on playing a passive early/mid game. An early sunfire and heart of gold (for randuins when you need it) should give you a better balance of health/resistances.

I've played a bunch of the shen builds on here and this one is my favorite. The only thing is i've never finished the build, the game is always over before i get to guardian angel usually. I'm guessing that is probably because i'm only lvl 12 right now, but either way, i like it.

I like this build and the people that say Shen is a tank and voted this guide down don't know WTF they are talking about...this is a perfect tank build for almost any toon. I was wondering if Leviathan was viable/worth it (im sure it is) but where you would put it in the build process?

I would've bought Shen and then tried it out, but now that he's coming in rotation... that time will come a lot earlier :)
