The midlings don't keep their distance. They look at you and laugh, "Stupid idiot J4, LOL!" and then they come after you.
Now it's true that if you try to close the distance by walking straight at them they are going to let you have it, but you should be smarter than that. Walk sideways and stand in the no-mans land between the two armies, and launch from there. I'll grant it to you that a smart leblanc is going to make it hard on you, but in the number of games I've gone mid I've always humiliated them.
Keep moving and don't be stupid. Jarvan has more life, and as a % of life your burst is doing more than theirs.

they are ranged champions, so if they r last hitting and u try to wakl up to them, they will burst u to pieces.
