Welcome to my first guide featuring Yorick. Yorick is a new champion and an Off tank. i made this guide just to show you how i play Yorick and it really helps me. It doesn't necessarily has to help you.

I start of with a Dorans Blade. why not a dorans shield? that's because i feel that i have enough health and armor and a bit less damage output in the begin.
The first time back i buy boots of speed and a Ruby Crystal because the extra health lets you stay in lane longer and farm better. and Boots of speed is always a great item to buy in the begin
The Second time back i upgrade boots of speed into mercury treads and ruby crystal into phage
The Third time back you should get Sheen and Zeal if you have enough money get it into trinity force
Then i buy banshee's veil as soon as i have enough gold.
at this time the game is usually finished if not get last whisper which is great for Yorick

I take 2 Greater Quintessence of Fortitude because of the health which makes him tanky in the start. then i take 1 Greater Quintessence of Resilience because it makes him even more tanky cuz of the armor it gives. then i take 9 Greater Glyph of Warding because magic resist is good for him. then i take 9 Greater Mark of Strength which makes his damage output higher. Then i take 9 Greater Seal of Alacrity to make his damage output higher. Why dcn't i take mana regen runes when he has mana issues? Well, that's all because you need these runes more for mana issues you can get blue buff. It is also because i don't spam my abilities only in fights not against minions etc.

For summoner spells i take exhaust and flash.
Why exhaust? because Yorick does only have a slow which is not really effective. If you miss this slow you can use exhaust which is a great help for your team and for yourself. It also make 1 vs 1 fights easier due to its attack speed slow which is great against dps champions like Master Yi.
Why flash? because it just helps you to escape from impossible situations and it helps to close the gap when you are chasing people. It also helps to escape if you are losing a 1 vs 1 fight which is not likely to happen.

Optional summoner spells are:
Ghost: for escaping and closing the gap
Cleanse: helps with excaping but i don't like using it
Ignite: helps with 1 vs 1 fight and it helps finishing off people

pros:
Great Farmer
Great 1 vs 1 fighter
His abilities overall does quite much damage output without items
Can solo lane good and 1 vs 2 good too
Cons:
Mana issues in begin
Difficult to fight a range champion

You Spam your abilities and destroy him. You won't have big problems except against Warwick ( the best 1 vs 1 fighter in the game )

In team fights you always want to focus the squishiest champions like Ashe. Spam your abilities and you will get kills. Make sure you use your ultimate wise so you will get more kills.
