Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Basically this build is for Nasus to not only be a tank, but a damage tank, and be unkillable. With Nasus I try to be not only useful, but deadly. Focus on trying to keep enemies off allies while you continuously hit someone and don't be afraid to engage. Nasus's ultimate is one of the best in the game in my eyes. Popping it with a lot of attack speed can leave a devastating blow to the enemies health before they even know what happened. For Runes I usually just stack health so I can be a good initiator in team fights. Even when your low you can easily get back to full health just by popping your ultimate and attacking relentlessly.
Clarity-I use Clarity to keep laning in the beginning and try to get ahead of the enemy team so I am free to jungle and get my Siphoning Strike damage up. I normally do not jungle until I get my Stark's Fervor but it can be done easily. I use Clarity first when laning and use the pots after to ensure I don't have to leave the lane for a while. Also it's good for chasing, ganking, other teammates, so on.
Ghost-Good summoner ability to get away from enemies, get to enemies, or just get across the map if you can spare it.
I get Boots of Speed, one health potion, and 2 mana potions and head to my lane. I ALWAYS use Clarity first when laning and use the pots after to ensure you don't have to leave the lane for a while, that way the CD is going down while I'm laning and I don't have to leave. After I run out of mana, or get low on health, or just some reason to go back, I pick up Ninja Tabi. You can most certainly get Mercury Treads if the team has a lot of CC but if its not a lot of CC, dont worry about it. Again, when I have to go back, I start getting items for a Stark's Fervor. Most people think it's crazy to get this on Nasus because he already has lifesteal, but like I said, faster attacks equals more health. And bonus to that is the fact that you are buffing all your allies with attack speed, lifesteal, and health regen. After my Stark's I work on a Phantom Dancer for the attack speed once again. After this item, you slowly turn into a tank by getting a Frozen Mallet for the amazing slow which will help in all team fights and solo fights. After that I usually get a Sunfire Cape for more AoE damage in teamfights and minion farming. Last item I get is either another Sunfire Cape or which most people prefer, a Guardian Spirit. Either of them work well but it depends on how well the game is going. Do you really need a rez?
Things To Remember When Choosing A Target
Nasus's damage is pretty decent for a tank character and when you have more lifesteal he can hurt. Try to hit squishy champions mostly but if you just cant reach them, settle for a tank or a high health dps, either way Nasus can tank them down. Pop ultimate in team fights only after you know for sure your going to fight them. Use your AoE in front of them, try to predict their movement.
Anyway, that is how I play Nasus and if anyone has any comments or suggestions please feel to post them. Good luck and have fun playing The Unkillable Nasus.
This is my first build so also if there any suggestions on that, please post.
