Introduction

There are those who choose not to live in one of the great city-states of Valoran. Instead, they live in remote locales, often as part of a nomad or barbarian tribe. While perils abound in these untamed lands, there is also great freedom in being removed from the politics of Valoran. Tryndamere was born a member of one of these barbarian tribes in northern Valoran. Even as a young boy, it was obvious that he would grow in martial prowess to become one of his clan's greatest warriors. However, as his clan moved south between the Howling Marsh and the Ironspike Mountains, they came across strangers in black garb, brandishing symbols of a beast's skull. Despite Tryndamere's pleas, his elder went out to speak with the strangers; they cut him down mercilessly. From there, they began to slaughter every man, woman, and child in the clan. Tryndamere, the sole survivor, hid under the bodies of his dead parents. Upon their bloodied corpses, he swore eternal vengeance on those who took his people from him - the assassins of Noxus.
To train himself, Tryndamere voluntarily served under all the great chieftains of the barbarian tribes, learning the ways of the barbarian warrior. Not only did this make him the man he needed to become in order to exact his revenge, it has also garnered him friends and allies among the most powerful barbarian leaders of Valoran. This recently allowed him to unite the barbarians into a single, powerful force - all under his command. Now he has joined the League of Legends to earn enough influence to find a permanent home for his people... and to slake his rage on the champions of his hated foes.

"The next true power will come from the far north, and it will involve Tryndamere - one way or another." –- Graccus Mightstone, League Senior Political Scholar

My Experience

Tryndamere is one of the most overpowered champions in LoL.

My games:

You don't often see many Tryndamere players in high-elo, and that's because most people build him incorrectly.

The reason I am posting up this guide is because I have had enough fun with Tryndamere and I'm moving up to another champion.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Very high damage

A 'blink'
A slow crowd control
(All his abilities are pros, haha)

Summoner Spells

Let's start off with the summoner spells I choose.

Flash
A staple for all.
Many people prefer Ghost because it takes them further, but the fact is that if you know when to use Flash, it will benefit you more then Ghost.

Examples:
Flash through Walls
Flash from a bush when your enemy enters it
Flash from a skill-shot (Caitlyn's ult anyone?)

Exhaust
This spell is great for chasing enemies and for killing stronger AD champions (With the masteries above).

Runes

Critical chance runes should be the only ones you have.
Tryndamere is based off of how often you can critical, and a solid 20% (Which is what you get from the runes, is great.

Why no magic resist/armor runes?

Well, first off, exactly for that reason. You don't know if you're going to get matched up versus an AD, AP, or both!

Some of those runes may be almost useless in some matches, and we don't want that.

Armor Penetration is better!

No, it isn't.
With a full armor penetration page, you will do ~80 damage per auto-attack at level 1 (Provided it's not an armor-tank).
With a critical, you'll do ~140.
So instead of maxing out at 35% crit chance with full fury at level 1, you will have 55%, which means you can critical up to every other attack.

Rules to Follow (3v3)

Ward Dragon and kill it as soon as you have wriggle's lantern. (3v3)

Do NOT tower dive if your enemy has any form of CC, has mana, and can survive more then one hit from you. (In general)

ALWAYS go top lane. I've seen many trynds go bottom, but for what? If your enemy is stronger, tower hug. If he's denying exp, call for a gank or get jungles. There isn't ANY excuse NOT to go top.

Who to Ban (3v3 ONLY)

Warwick (P1) - 3v3 Map dominance thanks to his blood scent (You won't get any jungles).
Morde (P2) - He will dominate you early game, and it is very hard to gank him.
Renekton (P3) - Heavy burst damage and very hard to kill.

Morde is quite often banned, but renekton isn't.
Try to ban all 3, which is easy if your enemy bans any one of them.

Items

When you get Black Cleaver, sell your wriggles and get:
Force of Nature for an AP-majority team.
Thornmail for an AD-team.
Warmogs/Stark's for a hybrid team.

Jungling

Tryndamere is great at jungling.

It is recommended to start out with the basic start-up (as above).
Get the blue golem first (Have your allies get it to half-life, then 1 leashes it).
Go for the wolves, then the wraiths, then the golems and finally the red buff.
Then repeat with the top jungle (Caution: Get an oracle to clean-up wards).

Get dragon when you get wriggles and oracle.
Ward up the Baron whenever you can with wriggles.
