Hello everyone and welcome to my Varus guide! Let me just preface this guide by saying please try both builds before doing voting, I know AP Varus seems like a troll idea, but it's been very effective for me. You may be wondering why you should play Varus over any of the other AD Carries or Mages in league of legends who appear to be better stat wise, well the answer to that varies depending on the build you are using. Mage Varus (My personal favorite) has incredibly high damage in the late game that can rival champions such as Ahri or LeBlanc. Along with this, he is also IMMENSELY less mana dependant, allowing him to stick around in lane a bit longer for good farm. If your playing AD Varus, the first thing that comes into play is his ranged ability Piercing Arrow, this ability has a maximum 1475 range and a 1.6 AD ratio, making it an amazing harass tool in lane. Also his E Hail of Arrows can quickly turn a fight around for you in the event you fight someone with a lot of sustain such as Dr. Mundo, Swain, or Olaf. These are a few reasons as to why you should play Varus over a champion like Caitlyn or Vayne, and there are more, so you should give him a shot.
