Items

1st build: As last item you can chose between Zhonya's Hourglass and Abyssal Scepter.
- If opponents have more AP damage dealers take Abyssal Scepter.
- If they got more AD chose Zhonya's Hourglass.

3rd build:

Runes

After Vladimir was nerfed by riot, players are picking a lot of cooldown reduction runes which is NOT my advice. Also do not use health runes they are almost useless, you will not get more tanky and it will not convert to your ability power too much.

So my advice is as you can see above:
- 9 Greater Marks of Insight, with this you will get extra penetration to opponent magic resist.
- 9 Greater Seals of Potency, will give you additional ability power
- 9 Greater Glyphs of Potency, more ability power
- 3 Greater Quintessence of Potency, and MORE ability power.

Final result:
- +29 Ability Power (+52,2 Health Points)
- +8,5 Magic Penetration

Advices

Play Vladimir as mid/solo top always and do it defensive until u get level 7 or level 9 (on those levels cooldown of Transfusion allows you to spam your enemy and to heal quickly), with that defensive play style in early game you will still be able to farm good and jungler in your team will be able to gank more successful while your opponent is pushing.

If you learn to use him right way he can be very strong and useful for team. So just play wise, use my advices and above all play Vladimir for some time to gain a sense of him.

Farming

As I already said in "Advices" farm defensively, you will be able to keep farm balance with your opponent and even maybe to out-farm him.

After reaching level 7+ you will be able to out-farm your opponent completely and easily.

Notice

Capability statistics in every guide for Vladimir is fake because guide is not counting Vladimir's passive ability, so it's not converting your ability power to health and health to ability power, without that "bug" numbers ( AP and HP ) would be much bigger.

Ranked Play

He is STILL VERY USEFUL in ranked games, thats all I can say in this chapter....
