Hey guys this is my first time making a build so if you have some constructive criticism that would be great, ok here it goes, Swain man, myth, or some bird obbssesed old guy? Well he is all of this and more! This build focuses mainly on AP taking great advantage of his ability to lifesteal tank and solo many enemys because of this ability. It also focuses alot on slowing the opponent so you can DoT them till they have to cry themselves to sleep

I went with a little bit of magic pen to start with, and you can easily get what you need from the boots, or if your enemys are stacking on magic def go ahead and throw in a void staff. After that I decided clarity would be best for the purpose of Ult tanking which is a key part of playing swain. Then I used the last 2 sets to push force for super strong early play. You'll start with about 50 AP which means you don't have to build it immeadiately and can focus on other things if that is your choice.

Did the basic caster masteries, some CD reductions for his skills other than ult and of course the 15% magic pen, you would be dumb not too, no offense. But if you choose to go all offense and only a little bit of mana regen that would work quite well too.

I could talk all day about the various items that make Swain the beast he is but instead I'll just throw some other items that I think would be particularly useful. Because your squishy you have to play fighting in the back or atleast a little behind everyone else which means the people you have to fear aren't the phys chars such as yi, etc. you will have to fear the AP nukers and the ranged AS/AD. With this build people like tris and ashe are gonna become a bit of a problem but to solve that is Torment, Ult, Birdy and Nevermore for when they run, because many many many people have a problem with commiting to the attack so in the moment of stupidity you strike. Other Items may include Spirit Visage if your birdys aren't healing well enough for you, Force of Nature for when those AP nukes start bugging you, and the ever reliable Thornmail and Banshees Veil for when you wanna solo some nukers.

Torment them. Done. Torment increases your damage and sets a low yield DoT on them very very very useful especially when using your ult. Decripify slows them and puts a mid yield DoT on them too helping with that Ult tanking. Nevermore binds them for when you want to finish it up. And then there was one, this character clearly has a large focus on the ult and the reason is because he becomes very survivable he is still squishy and has a problem with nukes but nukers are nukes because its the initial burst. Swain specializes in surviving and his birds heal him for half the damage he deals and he has 3 so imagine a constant flow of hp coming back to you couple that with your increased damage and the 2 DoT effects (also with increased damage) and its easy to see why this skill is so important.
