Introduction
Good day fellow summoners. I've been playing League of Legends for almost a year and I've tried to find champions for every class. I have been rather successful, but this is the only build that I made without the help of other builds from Mobafire. In knowing that, I am proud of what I have made because whenever a DPS Tank is needed, I play Yorick and I seem to do just fine. In the majority of my battles as either a laner or even as a solo top champion. Just keep in mind when reading this guide; this build is NOT a hybrid build, it is DPS TANK build.
The runes I have chosen are your standard DPS champion runes. These runes are able to easily push Yorick into the mid-game with few, if any deaths.
The armor penetration is obvious because this Yorick is a melee champ, NOT A HYBRID.
The armor and magic resist are required to take hits from any champion that may show its face.
Then the health quints give Yorick a good start as a tank, making it rather difficult for the enemy to take him down.

This is where many people argue about what is best for Yorick, and yes it may look weird considering that you do not see a Trinity Force or even a Hextech Gunblade. Just remember that this is a Melee DPS Tank guide for Yorick.
Now to start off with the Manamune. This is required by all Yoricks contrary to what I've heard. Yorick gains additional attack damage and health when his ghouls are summoned, this is what we want, so we should want the ghouls summoned as much as possible, causing us to lose mana rather quickly. On top of Manamune giving mana, it gives a very good amount of attack damage for how much the total cost of the item is.
I typically go with Mercury Treads because since he's a fat ***, it takes a while for him to get anywhere, with these, stuns are not as effective, helping Yorick get from one place to another. I may also choose to go with Boots of Lucidity if the opposing team has very few CC champs. These boots enable Yorick to spam his ghouls more quickly.
The next item is Sheen. I find is to synergize with Yorick's Omen of War very well because it gives that much more damage on top of what Omen of War would give alone.
Frozen Mallet I find necessary because Yorick is slow, period. In order to chase enemy champions down, he needs help with a combination of Omen of Pestilence and Omen of War to catch up to the enemy. Once he lands a hit with Frozen Mallet, they're stuck.
Warmogs Armor is a standard item for tanking champions, giving a massive amount of health.
Atma's Impaler finishes off the build. When combined with Frozen Mallet and Warmogs Armor, a lot of attack damage can be gleaned from this item. Not to mention, it gives a good amount of armor to help stop ad carries in their tracks.
