Introduction

ZYRA MUST GO MID. SHE DOES NOT LANE WELL WITH MORE THEN ONE ENEMY CHAMPION. Early game, Zyra is a GREAT PUSHER. She after level 2, her turrets can hold back enemy champions (see "Skill Sequence" for more info). Holding off champions means less gold for them, thus making them easier kills. Later game, you should start ganking. Try to get behind opponents and using: two Thorn Spitters if the enemy is tankish followed by Grasping Roots while he is still near your plants, two Vine Lashers if the enemy is fast and can easily escape (NOTE: Try to hit the enemy champion with Grasping Roots too for the ensnare.) followed by Deadly Bloom, or set-up a Thorn Spitter, hit with Grasping Roots and make 1 Vine Lasher, then hit with deadly bloom after it cools down, the other champion will most likely run right into your Thorn Spitter finishing him off, if not, ult him when he is still within range of your Thorn Spitter.

Skill Sequence

I like to level up Deadly Bloom first for the maximum amount of damage, Grasping Roots next (mainly for the snare), followed by Stranglethorns, finnaly rampant growth (I leave this for last because I can't really tell a difference each time I put a skill point in it.). At level 2, Zyra gains the ability to make mini-turrets (if you followed the skill sequence correctly). With these, she can easily push lanes single-handedly. Put a seed behind the other opponent who went MID followed by deadly bloom on it, or use deadly bloom on the enemy champion and before it can cast, plant a seed on it, this will push him back and the Thorn Spitter will keep him back. If you keep doing this combined with Grasping Roots, you could easily push MID turret and/or pull off first blood. ALWAYS REMEMBER: Pair your ULT with your turrets, your ULT only causes normal amounts of damage, but if you combine it with your turrets they will get a buff that will surely get you the kill.
