Soo theese games i'm looking at, what do they mean?

for example: Wolves is 1-9. What does this mean for them? How does the system work? What does it take to qualify?

All you have to do to qualify is have a better score than "X" amount of teams. If you are one of the better teams then you go through.

Not entirely sure, but I think I remember hearing from the shoutcasters that the bottom-feeders are fighting to prevent being relegated. Maybe this means that they hold more qualifiers mid-season to replace relegated teams?

Yes they will hold mid-season qualifiers I think.
And 1-9 means 1 win 9 losses. Simple as that.

I think they will drop out, in playoffs last 2 teams will be chalenged by top 2 teams on ranked 5s in chalenger ladder, if they lose, they drop from league.
