Welcome to the weekend! Normally, we would have LCS or some major international tournament to watch but this weekend is pretty dead since it is the weekend before All-Stars in Paris.

There is one event going on in Texas that deserves a watch though and that is the Lone Star Clash 3. The event that was started by students a couple years ago is back for its third edition. This year it features two League of Legends tournaments along with a StarCraft 2 tournament.

The Invitational

The invitational features compLexity, newcomers to the LCS, without their mid-laner pr0lly. The other three teams are well-known challenger teams: Rhux and Curse Academy; Bischu and Cloud 9 Tempest; and frommaplestreet and Team 8.

Play begins on Saturday with Curse Academy vs Cloud 9 Tempest at 11 AM EST / 8 AM PST.

Also taking place at Lone Star Clash is the IvyLoL finals. The finals will consist of the top four collegiate teams from across North America: University of California - Irvine, University of British Columbia, Texas A&M University, and University of Connecticut.

IvyLoL starts with the clash of the UConn Huskies vs the Texas A&M Aggies at 1:30 EST / 10:30 PST.

Casting both events will be Scarra, OptimusTom, and Zirene.

Check out the Lone Star Clash website for the schedule

Are you planning to watch Lone Star Clash 3? Will the new LCS team, compLexity, win the invitational or will the other teams step up to claim the crown? Which school will be crowned champion of IvyLoL Season 3?
