Never tried MS ones. I think they would do fine, but I'm starting Boots+3 Pots and Take 3 AP Quints, Mana Regen Seals, AP/level Glyphs and MPen Reds so I have no need for Doran's.

My runes sounds about the same as CS. But doesn't that depend on opponent too? Against skillshot opponent ms-quints is great. =)

Use AP quints on 90% of all AP casters. I'm pretty sure Brand should be using them.

Ryze also doesn't scale well with AP.

Quints should definitely be MS, mana or MrP. Mana/lvl is not worth it in quints.
