Play all, pick ones you enjoyed playing, buy.
NO OTHER WAY!
Dont buy champions blindly. Questions "what champ to buy" are fail questions in my eyes, and usualy i treat them as spam.
Dont ask. Play and buy.

In all seriousness, what DEWO said is right. Just experiment around a bit and when you see a champion that really appeals to you or your playstyle, practice with him/her a bit.
Well thanks guys for all the tips and suggestions, but I think Im going to do what DEWO said.
@DEWO - thank you.

I also agree with DEWO. Play whatever champion YOU like. I personally like the ones in my sig +Swain. They aren't necessarily the best champions, but they are fun to me so I use them.
Remember, just because a Champion isn't used a lot like say NASUS, doesn't mean he sucks. You have to play him for a long time to get him down. Remember this, it's a good thing to understand and accept. Not all champions are Pick Up and Own like Ashe. ;)
