Yeah, obviously right now it doesn't matter, but there seems to be no sign of change.
It's hard to test when you have a ~1s delay for everything you do.

If Riot needs more EU staff, then they should get it. Saying "Well we're understaffed so you're going to suffer for it" is less than sufficient.
Racism doesn't imply atrocities, though it can mean that. It can be applied to Hitler, or to a random guy on the street throwing the n-word around.
They're not legally bound to do anything, though it can be greatly looked down upon, such as EA's recent Origin ToS thing. Though that wasn't illegal, it was greatly looked down upon, and most people didn't like it, and agreed it made EA look bad as a business.
I know EU having a higher player base doesn't make it a priority, in the same way NA doesn't get priority because they happen to live in the same place as Riot's head office. I want justification as to why it was NA rather than EU.
It's not just lack of staff - it's blatant refusal to post on the EU servers from some Riot staff. The server crew post and work on both servers, that's not the issue. As a quick example, Shurelia once posted on EU (I know, shocking!) saying she never does because she posted once and her post was downvoted, though the thread on the US where she mentioned sustain nerfs was downvoted to oblivion, though she still posts on there. Or posted, not sure if she's left Riot yet. Riot have the staff to do most things they want - they don't have exclusive EU or NA server staff, and I'm sure it's not hard for a multi million pound company to recruit some server staff, yet the server is NA.
Riot should be serving the whole rather than the greater piece most times, though at the moment they're ignoring the whole, and greater piece, and focussing on the lesser piece.

Wait, so just because you're from NA means you should be treated better?
I'm only saying, shouldn't Riot help the majority rather than minority when dealing with these things? They've clearly managed to get servers in the EU before and has an office in Ireland (I think).
Obviously ping is worse on NA servers, what I'm saying is, they shouldn't be NA in the first place.
I understand that NA would be treated like second class citizens if it was an EU server, but why should it be the majority that's discriminated against by Riot quite a lot? As a few more examples -
Considerably less red posts on the forums
USA gets free skins and many more skin opportunities (E.G. Pax and Arctic Caitlyn)
Better overall customer support
Better money to RP conversion rate
Patches are one day earlier
I know Riot's an NA company, but that doesn't mean they have to be racist - and treat anybody that isn't from NA considerably worse than those from NA. Can't the EU get something good for a change?
Don't throw the word "racism" around.
First and foremost because Lugig hit the nail on the head EU needs more Riot staff.
Secondly because it implies that Riot is somehow committing social/ethical atrocities.
Thirdly it's a business. They're allowed to provide a service/product as they see fit. Once you sign the ToS you've agreed to a contract. Which I'm sure Riot's legal staff has written (and amended) to explain certain state(s) of things. What they are or are not LEGALLY bound to do and how you as a customer promise to act. If you read through it thoroughly you'll probably come to a clause which states "Riot has the right to provide their players with a product or service in the form of League of Legends and its merchandise. The level of service varies and is no way a reflection on Riot's beliefs as a company, nor is Riot LEGALLY obligated to provide....." Basically a blanket clause which protects them from opinions like these.
Their standards have to meet each international set of standards. And as long as it is deemed "fit" it's what you get to play.
Your personal sentiment about the "portion" of Riot's player base being higher in EU doesn't automatically make it the higher priority. As I said it's business, it's cheaper and easier for Riot to staff the NA side of things because it's where they're based from.
Building an EU staff that is comparable might take a back seat to other things that are meant to improve the game for EVERYONE. As in 100% not the 65/35 split that makes up EUE/EUW/NA (numbers are made up). So do I think EU needs a better number of staff to do what NA staff already does? Yeah, I would like that because I see no ETHICAL reason not to have that. Do I understand that Riot is a business and as one should be serving the greater WHOLE rather than the bigger PIECE? Yeah I do, then again I'm not in EU with apparent "prison condition" forums staffing.
