I find that my post and rep count aren't syncing, along with y preview text for a topic.

So, you go to my profile and it'll have 5 rep, but you go to my topic and under my name will be 4 rep along with 8 less posts then I should have. It's fixed itself now, after a while it does but I'm wondering if this is lag issues or a real problem?

and the other thing is that when you post a topic and someone just wants to check it out, they'll hover over the link and the first few sentences will come up? Hope you got that, but that's not updating. For when I edited my post and removed those sentences, they still showed up there. It mustn't update.
thanks Hogopogo for the banner :D

First one is a cache issue. Always has been, always will be.

Second one is a known issue but it shouldn't really effect anything.

^ correct :) To keep the site running smooth, we have to do a fair bit of caching of different parts of the pages. The caches all have varying life cycles as necessary, which means your rep and post count information may get cached at different times in different spots, and thus not match. Rest assured there is nothing wrong with your account and none of the caches have a particularly long life, so it will catch up after a while.

The second one has to do with a small flaw in how the forum works. I will be fixing this at some point, but since it isn't a show-stopper bug and is going to require a little rewiring to fix, it tends to get put off.
