Well it could be that you've just been going against people your skill level then smurfs or something but seeings as it's your first week just learn the fundamentals like getting cs and stuff like that then go into some harder stuff and the consistency should come naturally of course those painful smurfs are gonna get in your way but just do your best and you'll get there :P
If I have helped in anyway at all a +rep will be appreciated lots

Thanks to LaCorpse, Hogopogo and JhoiJhoi for the amazing sigs
Yea, echo what was said above. Don't try to rush things. If you are new to MOBAs, you've got quite a learning curve ahead of you.
It's hard at very low levels to learn exactly what the game is about, because, frankly, hardly anyone in the game is playing "correctly". Typically, landing phase is just bizarre because of team compositions, and everyone just wants to fight other champions. CSing is almost nonexistent - even among smurfs, because alot of smurfs will gladly just fight champs because they are confident they can outplay new players.
I'm not sure I recommend playing ranged carries primarily as a new player. They take alot of farm to really ramp up and get going, and even at that point most need a team around them to peel for them and keep them safe so they can unload their damage. If you are really wanting to play AD carries though, mostly, just try to farm up as much as possible early game. Don't worry so much about getting kills (unless opponents are playing really dumb) as about getting CS and NOT DYING. Try to last hit as much as you possibly can, and again, just stay alive. Once the game hits about 30 minutes, you will be hitting like a truck.

Hmm this is interesting. This is what I would suggest.Maybe not to rush things, keep it passive, make your enemies think you are not aggresive.Wait for the right time, and kills will come, and deaths will not! This is really a good tactic, sneaky one.You maybe won`t have so many kills even when you could have, but keep this in mind 3-0-5 is better then 10-5-5!Maybe not so many kills, but not many deaths either.Don`t forget about cs,really important,if you outscale your enemy in cs you don`t even need kills.Keep it up!
Don`t fear the shrouded path...
