Unnamed poem written with words/phrases from the book Night by Elie Wiesel
I can see fire!
Dark flames of night,
Burned away the spring sunshine so bright,
Burned away the spring sunshine
The depths of my heart were in pitch darkness,
Surely it was a dream, a dream
The Angel of Death had not yet found me?
Was I still alive?
Surely it was a dream, a dream,
A dark assassin’s face I saw,
Surely it was a dream
I was afraid, afraid to stay
Surely it was a dream, a dream,
Surely it was a dream,
But sleep had fled, had fled my mind
Surely it was a dream, a dream,
Do not lose courage,
Drive out despair,
Surely it was a dream, a dream,
Find the true answers in yourself,
Listen to the violin,
And listen to your heart,
I cannot go on,
Surely I’ll have good dreams, good dreams
Surely I’ll have good dreams
Whose tear was that, that fell so soft upon the ground?
Whether tears of sorrow or tears of joy
Never shall I forget the face that shed those tears
That fell so soft that day, that day
That fell so soft that day
The snow that fell relentlessly
It fell so soft and drearily
It fell so soft that day
One last night for me to say
Surely it was a dream, a dream
Surely it was a dream
But sleep had fled, had fled my mind
Surely it was a dream, a dream
Surely it was a dream
I can see fire!
White flames of…day!
And they bring the spring sunshine so gay,
They bring the spring sunshine!
I can see fire!
Dark flames of night,
Burned away the spring sunshine so bright,
Burned away the spring sunshine
The depths of my heart were in pitch darkness,
Surely it was a dream, a dream

Dreams fade like fresh chalk on wet walls
Dysfunctional reality like a girlfriend who never ever calls
Bad days mix with good like a dirty martini
Drinking it up in the shadows where no one will see me
The saying goes, "All good things come to those who wait"
The issue being that good things won't come unless it's fate
No such thing as coincidence when bad things come in threes
All one can do, is sit back, wait, and try to breathe
Faded glory like the new-style faded jeans
Intellectualism is nothing more than "have yet to fade dreams"
The doers do what they can and when
But the rest of us are stuck like a writer with no pen
The truth of life lies in death
Some people try to wait, holding their breath
Those who know what comes when our days are over
Are those who won't waste a wish on a four leaf clover.
Dreams are what we wish to come true
But I won't make a wish on things I can't do.
I can't force her to love me anymore than I can make a fish dance
But I know that there is hope, some slim, minute chance
It's not a wish but hope that keeps my heart alive
The energy I feel, like when I'm speeding down her drive
It's no wish to make her come back to me
Simply hope that someday we can both be
Together.

It's so depressing...but one of my better poems imho
EDIT: Epic poem jeffy
EDIT 2: I wish my guy would write poems like that to me, except he's too intellectual to write poetry XD

Intellectualism is creativity in its weakest form. Creating something from nothing except pure inspiration is the power of the mind at work. Anything else is just an excuse not to have to talk, or write, or engage with anyone except to express their own personal take on any situation....If that makes sense.
TL;DR: Intellectuals deal with infinite problems, and a set number of solutions. Creatives work with infinite problems attempting to derive infinite solutions.
