I figured out how Cleverbot works. It's actually not AI.

it just selects from a variety of different phrases previously said to cleverbot. This makes it seems like you're just talking to many different people at once - at first I thought it was actually like "cheer up chatbot", which was literally a "match one person up to another person and switch partners every minute" AI chatbot. I found this out by getting matched up with my friend right next to me.
