Why you might ask?
The 560Ti architecture is a bit better (in most cases ofc there are some games that prefer nVidia and other prefer AMD/ATI) than 6870.

Better architecture? How come? The 6870 is better in both power consumption and gaming power for your money.

Here's the 560Ti Twin Frozr. Way over the set budget..
Here's the cheapest version of the 560Ti.
And here's the HD6870.

And here's the relative performance at 1920x1200 resolution. (compared in 16 games)

The only thing that I could find in 560Ti's favor is that it overclocks and overvolts a little better (don't think it can compare in price though, even when overclocked), but I doubt that Xiaowiriamu will do those things.

TBH what kind of graph that is?

As price i went with calculating the USD 300 like she said.
Now that i looked in GBP 150... it is not the same price :P

I would never get the cheapest one. I never look for one tbh.

From 6870 i would only go with Vapor-X ones due to known to me and tested cooling. And that is not that far away from 560Ti.

For sure i would never recomend that XFX g-card, mainly due to stock cooling system which is... ekhmm... not the best. I already had 2 of those stock coolers returned due to fan failure.

Well the Radeon i must admit that is best power-to-performance ratio but not that much if you consider non referal constructions.

Also, even when the AMD/ATI drivers got ALOT better nowdays they still have some minor problems with them from time to time.

It is also a question in which resolution she will be playing. Since not everyone plays on 1920x1200, the most common one is still 1680x1050 and 2nd is 1920x1080.

It's performance in 16 games compared to other GPUs. HD6870 has about 5% less performance than 560Ti, but costs a lot less. About 21% less in cost when comparing the Vapor-X to the Twin Frozr and 29% when comparing both the cheapest models. Effectively making it a LOT better in power per performance that's.

It is far away from the one you recommended. That one is 200£, the Vapor-X is 165£...

560 Ti for 200 GBP? that is waaaaay overpriced if i get the common price of it to GBP atm i would get 178 GBP for it.

Well it all stands on the market price since 6870 Vapor-X 1GB DDR5 costs nearly the same as 560Ti Twin Frozr II OC.

I checked the amazon thing you posted (srsly you dont heve better shops than amazon there? :P)
and tbh from what i see the costs are also close to 200 GBP (a bit lower than that) exept that one on the top (dont know that shop too well or their system tbh but it looks tricky to me :P)

If we get all this from my perspective:
So they are similar in price ofc 560Ti is a bit more expensive (not much FROM MY PERSPECTIVE)
But you get more power.
You get better cooling (about 12 degrees celsius)
Quieter cooling (10 DBa)

Well if i compare those cards on my market with the prices on my market:
560 Ti - 795zl - 178GBP
6870 - 776zl - 174GBP

So it depends on the market.

But still i would give that fiew pounds for 12degrees and 10dba less... and not for the cost of power overall since it is still better.

I think your market is ****ed up.
The UK market has the 560 Twin Frozr at 200£, mine at 193£ while yours is at 178£. The 6870 Vapor-X is at 165£, mine is at 173£ and yours is at 174£.

ATI has lower pricing. They mentioned big price cuts on ATI's side as a con for the 560Ti in the review.

If you can get a Vapor-X card that cheap I'd buy it, even if it's a little above the budget.

More than likely i'll go for the ATI Radeon HD6870, but thanks for all the suggestions, this really helpful >:D

Think i'll keep my monitor.

Getting a keyboard, probably an Alienware TactX, since i havnt had a new keyboard for about 7 years or so, thought ill treat myself >:D

Might keep my cheap Microsoft laser mouse. Fits my hand nicely, never liked the fancy gaming ones.

EVERYTHING from Alienware is a huge waste of money >.>

I recommend the Saitek Eclipse keyboard. It's just a regular gaming keyboard without any extra **** (screens and media buttons and so on). Just a keyboard that looks and feels awesome.
I dunno if they still make em', but do grab one if they do :)

I love how it looks :3
The new Eclipse "2.0" (or whatever) looks way worse >.>

Just please be sure not to take the one with stock cooling.
Even Asus DirectCU will be WAY better. Vapor-X is the ideal choice.

As for keyboard. It depends on what you like.
As i like and wanted a low profile low-jump keyboard with as standard key layout as possible i picked Razer Lycosa. And i am very happy with the choice. The only bad thing is to keep it clean.

Alienware is **** in most of the cases and you can find the same hardware for way less price. I have to agree with Searz here.

There are some exeptions tho (laptops).

From cheap ones i suggest Logitech K200. One of the best keyboards... totaly undestructible and VERY cheap.
Nothing fancy here but it does the job right.

A well designed keyboard is also Roccat Arvo. Something you will love or hate. It is small but quite beffy at the capabilities. Antighosting is one of the features i was considering when i was looking at her.
