While we're at it, also check how much space your case has for longer GPU's.

Either look up the PSU model number and check online or open your PC up and look at the PSU (the box your power-cord plugs into). Wattage should be clearly visible on one of the sides. My guess would be around 400W for a pre-built system. Secondly you should look at the cables that go out from the PSU. How many of them have connectors like the ones below?

Also, check the model of your current motherboard and case. It would be useful to know if you can fit ATX and/or Micro ATX in the case.

I'm looking to upgrade my PC so I can stream properly. Currently I have to set my FPS to 15-20 to maintain a 720p stream, and it has a toll on my in-game performance too so it's harder for me to play while streaming/recording. Recommendations?

Have you tried using the OBS fork that makes use of AMD's GPU acceleration? I found out about this recently:

Doubt that will get him much further on a A6 dual core though, although I'm wondering if it closes the gap with Nvida for streaming purposes.

I think it would make most sense to upgrade your CPU to something like an Intel i7 (though I bet i5 does the trick as well if you're on a budget, not sure about i3). I think your GPU should be sufficient to handle 720p League streaming.

He has zero need for i7 for gaming. Streaming can easily be done with GPU encoding or even Intel's QuickSync. i7 is a waste of money.

@OTG and Vapora take a picture of the inside of your case and Vapora needs to specify PSU info too
Thanks to FatelBlade, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, TheNamelessBard, GrandmasterD, aviseras and koksei for the awesome signatures

Well, I'm just gonna post the CPU I think you should be getting OTG. (also remember that I posted RAM on the previous page)
The i5 6500 is the lowest of the high-end CPUs. I'm not picking bottom-of-the-barrel stuff because you kind of already have that :P
This one should run games well for years forward.

As for GPU, you'll have to decide what you think is worth it. Three models stand out to me.
GTX970, GTX960 and R9 285
Go for Nvidia if you plan on recording video or streaming (AMD can do it too, but Nvidia feels like the safer bet, but do go AMD anyway if->). Go for AMD if you plan on getting a FreeSync screen.
If neither applies then just pick whatever fits your budget the best.

Motherboard and potential PSU upgrades will have to wait until you come back with specs (of case and current PSU).
