Or you just write a set of questions that we answer right here in the thread.
I'd be up for that. I would not be up for emails about this.

Generally, students with these sorts of requests use something like surveymonkey to get the job done. Any reason you're not using something like that? (I ask primarily to make sure you've considered the option; you don't really have to answer.)
Anyway, sent you an email.

So whatcha trying to achieve with this research? What's the conclusion you hope to extract from the data?
surveymonkey is more useful for collecting quant data from surveys, and seeing if predicted correlations are present in the data. With this qual research i haven't suggested any hypothesis. The aim is to understand gamers in this context and to gain an insight into common themes or issues which may occur with this cohort.
With online text-based interview you mean real-time with a real person? Otherwise I believe a solution not involving e-mailing someone just for getting questions in the first place.
It's not meant to be irritating or anything, but I guess most people won't e-mail random people(and risking tons of spam-damage and wasting time) for answering some questions.
Otherwise, I'd be happy to answer some questions.

thanks for your criticism! I completely understand your point of view and agree that it is a major limitation of qualitative methods. Yep, i do mean online interview as everything being real-time.

My name's Jennii. I'm a psychology student looking for gamers who would like to take part in my qualitative research. The online (text-based) interview will be on topics such as gaming experiences, motivations and gratifications, gender identity and representations.
Past research on online gaming had focused majorly on MMORPGs, with an increasing number of active gamers in MOBAs nowadays (LoL, for example, having more active players than WoW and COD on XBox live), I think it would be an appropriate research to focus on this aspect of online gaming and participant's views and opinions in this context.
If you are interested in taking part or have any enquiries, please contact me at jennii_1314@hotmail.co.uk or my LoL account "Jennii x".
I hope you find this thread interesting and i hope you had an awesome new years :)
