I'm ok with sequels as long as they add something genuinely new. Megaman 1-6, they changed a lot between the games. Sonic games, not so much. Portal 1 and 2, many changes were made.
After a while, I really wish sequels would just stop. After 10 games *cough coughFinal Fantasycough* something needs to be stopped.

Final Fantasy is more of a franchise but yeah I get your point. I just look forward to something completely new than what sequels/franchises have to offer nowadays. I just want to hear what people who look forward to sequels more than originals feel about it and why.

Re-boots of old games are fine too. As long as they don't stray too far from the original formula that made the game great in the first place.

if the original was good than a sequel can be. however they can still be bad.
the only game i can think of that i'm looking forward to right now that isnt a sequel is la noire.
other than that all im looking forward to are sequels.
