Basically what CISPA is, is a new bill in the forum of SOPA and PIPA. The actual name is Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, and this is wikipedia quote. "CISPA is an amendment to the National Security Act of 1947, which does not currently contain provisions pertaining to cybercrime. It adds provisions to the Act describing cyber threat as a "vulnerability of, or threat to, a system or network of a government or private entity, including information pertaining to the protection of a system or network from either 'efforts to degrade, disrupt, or destroy such system or network'; or 'theft or misappropriation of private or government information, intellectual property, or personally identifiable information.'"[12] In addition, CISPA requires the Director of National Intelligence to establish procedures to allow intelligence community elements to share cyber threat intelligence with private-sector entities and encourage the sharing of such intelligence." Ik it's long, but really read it. It really is scary, and takes away the 4th ammendment right, to be hidden in your pappers, and such... This bill is SCARY AS ****. Start telling people and we may be able to stop this stuff just like SOPA and PIPA, and the Other bill (Name Escapes me).
Thanks to everyone that has made me a sig!

GO CISPA!

On a serious note, that is completely meaningless. ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) has already been signed by the European Union, USA, Japan, and some other countries. Now all it is required is for 6 countries to formally approve it and ACTA will come into effect in every country that wishes to ratify it. I don't know who has the power in each country to ratify ACTA, but just know that it has already been signed, ratifying it shouldn't be that far away.

the topic is semi related, but you could replace video games with practically anything, in this case the internet.

stopped? It's currently open for more signatures from other countries until may 2013. After that as long as any 6 countries ratify it it will become active in those countries and any further that ratify it.
It's already been signed by 30 countries, there's no going back now. The only way for it to be stopped is if no 6 countries ratify it.

I replaced it with masturbation... which is pretty much the same thing.
