Downloading any of the Linuxes is usually easier with some kind of a torrent program :^)
I myself don't download games or music, mostly stuff that prefers to be downloaded via torrents.

For everything else, Transmission daemon ftw
Have fun trying to get access to my hentai collection Tosh, 'cause you won't be able to get anything fancier. My web browser has more permissions than my torrent client, maybe you should try that route.
Thanks for the heads-up by the way!

Eh, no surprises there. uTorrent has been going to **** for quite a while by now. I jumped ship about a year ago.
There are better FOSS alternatives. (Free Open Source Software)
Know what you should be using? qBitTorrent.
It's open source, like the previously mentioned Transmission, but the difference being that this one is fully featured. It has pretty much anything you'd want in a torrent program.
Support FOSS software. It makes the world better.

I'm a strong independent black mage who don't need no mana.
You wanna fight? Bet this thing won't run as a systemd service with web and cli front-end.
...
Well maybe I'd only have to write a service wrapper.
Still, I don't see why Transmission wouldn't cut it. What features are you missing?
(Also, when did you became a FOSS advocate? Running some open OS now too?)

I love FOSS stuff, but that's mostly because I detest paying money for things and like pirating them even less.

I haven't used it in a few years by now, but last time I checked it had an abysmal options menu. The customization just wasn't anywhere near the same level.

Always been one. Been dabbling in Ubuntu and Debian for years now. I'm just not using it on my main machine.
Wherever FOSS offers comparable functionality to that of closed programs I always make a switch. My frequently used closed PC programs can be counted on one hand by now.

You need to log in before commenting.
Concerned long-term users are turning away from it because of the risks and threats.
This is just a heads up in case you didn't know.

Use Tixati instead. It is quite likely much safer and it offers better tools without the ads.
