I kind of agree with Jebus. I would make him work like a pendulem. For instance, The longer he waits to use abilities the more the AP bonus will scale. Have the flat bonus constant though. However, the more often you use abilities it begins to lose the AP bonus over usage but increase CDR.
Example:
Skill: Aged Fireball
- Deals 70/120/170/220/270 (+.2 - 1 AP) builds .2 ratio every 15 seconds
- CD is 10-2 lowers 2 seconds every time this skill is used.
Explanation:
You have 500 AP. You have waited 2 minutes. You have level 5 aged fireball. You will deal 770(270+(1*500) magic damage. You have to wait 8 seconds now (because it lowered CD). The next time you use it, it will deal 670(270+(500*.8) magic damage. Eventually, you will deal 370 (270+(500*.2) magic damage but it will be on a CD of 2 seconds
Is that kinda what you were thinking of.
