Both his passive and his ultimate scales with AD, but doesn't deal physical damage. Those 2 things and the fact that AD quints are insanely strong early on probably makes AD quints the best choice available.

Discuss.

As a side-note; my usual setup on Cork is ArP marks, armor seals, MR glyphs, AD quints and 0/9/21 masteries.

I'm a fan of 21/0/9 masteries, just because I think that Corki isn't reliant on his summoners enough to make the utility worth it.

Also, since Corki is so slow, MS quints might be good for him.

I might take MS quints and AD marks since his Gatling Gun shreds armor, but I'm not a Corki player so I'm not too sure if the armor reduction is reliable enough to be worth the trade off.

Meh, you get enough MS from utility masteries and Trinity Force. He's very mobile even without any extra MS.

The ONLY time you should use 21 offense is when you build crit. Even then 21 utility isn't a bad idea.

I've been using 21utility more and more lately. It's the best mastery path available in most cases. I even heard in a recent CLG match that pretty much all high elo US players use 21utility. The whole CLG team used it. Even Rammus and Cho'Gath.

Well again, me having the lack of Corki experience that I do, I don't know how mobile he is or isn't.

And yes, 21 utility is universally the best unless you want crit or are tanking, but even then some people may argue that you can tank just as well with 21 utility. Getting 21 offense any other time is very situational. I only take it on Yi, Ashe, Tryndamere, and Shaco right now.

My point exactly ^_^

Retreating?! Hell no, we're just attacking the other direction!

I take 21 offense/21 defense on junglers, depending on which one I play (and sometimes only 20 to get the 10 into utility for the imp buffs). I get 21 defense on Shen because I think improved fortify is invaluable against hard tower divers. On everyone else, it's pretty much foolproof to go 21 into utility. At the very least, 9 should be in utility to get the increased experience gain since it's so important.

Pretty much anyone who doesn't need defense/offense to jungle should probably specc into utility.
WW is a good example of someone who's great with 21utility.

@Main topic:
Is there any good reason not to take AD quints?

I can't see any reason not to. He has natural armor reduction, and when combined with ArP marks that's plenty. As you said he has nice mobility, so I'm not seeing much else to take. Maybe HP quints? But once again, what do I know about Corki? Lol.
